RWDSU Local 110 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, continues to lead with strong education, organizing, and preparation efforts across the worksites it represents. From steward trainings at Quaker Oats and onboarding new leaders at Coles Quality Foods, to bargaining prep at General Mills and honoring fallen workers on Workers Memorial Day, the Local is building power and solidarity across the board. Local 1102 ran two successful shop stewards trainings at the RWDSU HQ in NYC recently. The first day was dedicated to new stewards throughout the local. Among the participants were also some of the local’s newest members who recently won the very first in the nation union contracts at Barnes and Noble locations including the Flagship in Manhattan. The second day was devoted to more experienced stewards and focused on sharpening existing skills. Some 70 stewards participated in the trainings…. |

RWDSU Local 108 joined more than 65 organizations at the Martin Luther King People’s Convention for Justice and Resistance in Newark, NJ. Hosted by the People’s Organization for Progress, the event focused on building a unified response to the growing threats against civil rights and labor protections. Through workshops and collective resolutions, the convention advanced a shared vision for justice—one rooted in the legacy of Dr. King and carried forward by labor and community allies… |
