RWDSU ENDORSES MIKIE SHERRILL FOR GOVERNOR OF NEW JERSEY
(NEWARK, NJ) – Today, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) announced the union’s endorsement of Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill in her campaign for Governor of New Jersey. RWDSU members across the Garden State working in grocery, retail, warehousing, healthcare, manufacturing, transport, public service sectors and other industries will mobilize in support of Sherrill’s candidacy, sharing her strong record of leadership and commitment to working people and communities.
“Mikie Sherrill is the kind of principled leader working people need in New Jersey. From fighting for union rights in Congress to supporting critical investments in public services, she’s demonstrated that she understands both the dignity of work and the needs of working families. She’s shown up for our members—not just with words, but with action—and we know she’ll continue to stand up for workers as Governor. RWDSU is proud to endorse Mikie Sherrill because we know she’ll lead with integrity, courage, and a deep commitment to economic and worker justice,” said Stuart Appelbaum, President of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU).
