Dear Delegates and Alternates,

We wanted to provide some information in preparation for the RWDSU Convention which will be taking place from August 4th to August 6th in Orlando, Florida.

The RWDSU Executive Board met on July 31, 2026 and took several actions.

VICE PRESIDENTS

The RWDSU Executive Board has the responsibility for determining the areas for the election of Vice Presidents and the number of Vice Presidents for each area.  The areas and the number of Vice Presidents to be elected by each area caucus area so follows:

• New England - 1

• Southeast - 1

• Mid-South (including locals affiliated with the Mid-South Council and the Tennessee District Council) - 2

• Midwest (including Upstate New York, West Virginia and Pennsylvania) - 2

• Mid-Atlantic – 8

CONVENTION RULES

The RWDSU Executive Board voted to recommend to the Convention Rules Committee and the Convention adoption of the proposed Convention Standing Rules. The proposed rules for the convention - including the Notice of Nominations and Election - may be found here.
