The endorsement underscores the Governor’s proven record of delivering for New York’s working people, including her landmark signature on the union’s Retail Worker Safety Act and her commitment to raising the minimum wage. Throughout her time in Albany, she has consistently demonstrated that she understands the needs of RWDSU members, including retail, grocery, cannabis, and warehouse workers across the state…
The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) today announced its endorsement of New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli for re-election, citing his longstanding commitment to working people, strong oversight of public funds, and leadership in holding corporations accountable to workers and taxpayers. The RWDSU’s members who live and work across New York state will begin their work in support of DiNapoli’s campaign spreading the word among fellow members who work in grocery and non-food retail, department stores, pharmaceutical and recreational cannabis, food service and production, building maintenance, healthcare, at area airports, in warehousing and distribution and other industries in the state…

As the holiday shopping season is underway, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), issued the following statement urging workers be treated with dignity and respect from in-store shopping to e-commerce warehousing, from farm to table and everything in between: “The holiday season has always been a time of great pressure on retail workers. This year, that pressure is compounded by new challenges. Soaring economic uncertainty, aggressive use of AI in scheduling and inventory, continued issues of theft and violence, and shrinking seasonal hiring despite rising demand have created a perfect storm for workers. While retailers and shoppers brace for tariffs and supply chain issues, it’s frontline workers who absorb the stress and danger. Retail workers are not to blame, and they must not be left unprotected…
