DeCicco and Sons Ratify Strong New Contract

Members at DeCicco & Sons overwhelmingly approved a new three-year contract that delivers wage increases and protects essential medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits.

Negotiations were challenging, with grocery stores operating on thin margins and rising costs, along with pressure from non-union competitors.

The new agreement raises starting rates and provides across-the-board wage increases each year.  “These wage gains recognize the hard work members bring to the stores every day,” stated Local 338 President John Durso.

Just as important, the contract protects members’ health coverage through increased employer contributions, ensuring that health coverage remains stable and affordable, even as medical costs continue to rise across the country.
