RWDSU Local 108 recently hit the road, visiting worksites across the state to speak directly with members about the upcoming election, voter registration deadlines, and where and how to cast their votes.
On April 26, 2025, RWDSU Local 108 proudly participated in the Martin Luther King People's Convention for Justice and Resistance, held at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey. Organized by the People's Organization for Progress (POP), the convention brought together over 65 organizations to develop a unified agenda addressing pressing social and economic justice issues.
Healthcare workers can only provide the care their patients need when they are taken care of as well. That’s why the union difference is so important to workers like the members of Local 108 who work in rehab and assisted living facilities.
Today, Congressman Andy Kim met with union leadership and members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) from several industries for a roundtable discussion on workplace issues and joined the union for workplace walkthroughs at Twin City supermarket and Newark Airport.
