Walgreens workers in West Virginia just ratified their 3 year contract. Over 350 workers finally won a discipline timeline so the company can no longer pull them into the office and issue discipline for something that allegedly happened 3 months ago.
Today, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) and the West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey and announced that the unions negotiations, in conjunction with the Attorney General’s continuing investigation, have led to Alecto Healthcare Services stating its intent to pay nearly $250,000 in paid time off to hospital workers of the Fairmont Regional Medical Center…
On March 19, 2020 Alecto announced the company would close Fairmont Regional Medical Center without any warning, in direct violation of the federal WARN Act. The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), which represents 120 workers at the facility announced today that it intends to file suit against the company in the coming days…
On November 4-5, RWDSU members from Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, upstate New York, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia came together in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for the annual Six-State Conference. It was the largest such meeting in many years, attracting over 160 members, many of them shop stewards and many of them first-time attendees, for important training to help them serve fellow members.
