Today, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) announced the union’s endorsement of Jim McGreevey in his campaign for Mayor of Jersey City. RWDSU members working in grocery, retail, warehousing, healthcare, manufacturing, transport, public service sectors and other industries in New Jersey will mobilize in support of McGreevey’s candidacy focusing on what matters, affordable housing, good union jobs, and building a Jersey City that works for everyone.
New Jersey stands at a crossroads this November in choosing their next Governor, facing challenges ranging from an affordability crisis, continued economic recovery post-pandemic, environmental sustainability, to education funding reform. In this pivotal moment, Mikie Sherrill offers leadership, vision, and experience that New Jersey needs to move forward and navigate these diverse challenges. A former Navy helicopter pilot and a two-term Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 11th district, Sherrill has demonstrated her commitment to bipartisan action – the kind of leadership we need in our state.

RWDSU members across the Garden State working in grocery, retail, warehousing, healthcare, manufacturing and public service sectors and more will mobilize in support of Sherrill’s candidacy, sharing her strong record of leadership and commitment to working people and communities.
On April 26, 2025, RWDSU Local 108 proudly participated in the Martin Luther King People's Convention for Justice and Resistance, held at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey. Organized by the People's Organization for Progress (POP), the convention brought together over 65 organizations to develop a unified agenda addressing pressing social and economic justice issues.
